Members of the public from across the East Midlands are invited to a meeting of the East Midlands Police Authorities Joint Committee (EMPAJC) to be held at Leicestershire Constabulary on Monday 5 September 2011.
At the beginning of the meeting attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the Committee’s work and policing in the East Midlands, after which they can observe the deliberations and decisions taken relating to policing in the region.
Items on the agenda include an update from the regional Deputy Chief Constable, on collaborative projects in the East Midlands.
The meeting, which starts at 2.00pm, will take place in the Main Conference Room, Leicestershire Police Headquarters, St Johns, Enderby, Leicester LE19 2BX. It is open to anyone living or working in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire or Nottinghamshire.

The EMPAJC is made up of representatives from the five Police Authorities in the East Midlands region – Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. It works in consultation with the region’s Chief Constables and was formed to develop further collaborative work between the forces in the region to increase operational and financial efficiencies.
