Get a behind the scenes look into the world and work of the emergency services.
One of the biggest events on Derby Market Place, the Derby Emergency Services Day is coming to the Market Place 25 June 2011, 10.00 am to 4.00pm where it is hoped this year’s event will be bigger and better with plenty to do on the day.
An exhibition will be held in a large marquee which will enable you to see at first-hand the wide variety of police work and that of our partner organisations.
On the day Derbyshire Constabulary will be supported by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service who will raise awareness and highlight safety measures through using the smoke house and chip pan fire displays. East Midlands Ambulance Service will also display their latest equipment, ambulances new and historical.
You will be able to find out about: crime scene investigation, fingerprint experts, a police helicopter exhibition (with looped images on a TV), police dogs, the Uniform Task Force, Safer Neighbourhood Teams, Police Authority, Crimestoppers, Community Messaging, Neighbourhood Watch, Victim Support, Contact Management, Street Pastors, Scene of Crime Officers, the Special Constabulary, Volunteer Cadets, Community Engagement Team, Ozbox and various departments from within the Derby City and Neighbourhoods Partnerships.
I hope you will be able to join us at sometime during what will be an informative and educational day where the exhibitors will all be on hand to give advice to visitors about what they do.
